Aino Minako-chan

Previously, I mentioned that I got a ticket to see "Jesus Christ Superstar" the Japonesque version. The show was today, and OMG, it was incredible. I seriously wish that there was a DVD or CD available so that I could share.

Believe it or not, but I could probably say more. Luckily, you are all saved by the fact that I am mysteriously motion sick (why? honestly no freaking clue), so I should probably go curl up in a corner and sip on some clear soup. ;-_- Long story short, JCS in Japan is for the win!

• FYI, my Proofreading From Hell ended yesterday. Hurray! There are likely still many mistakes left, since I stopped caring after the second day, but as one friend from study abroad once said about her homework assignment, "It took two minutes, it's ugly, and it's crap, but it's done, and that's the American way." I know; bad unprofessional Minako-chan. But there are only so many days in a row where I can care about bad English. ( Cut for rather boring babble about proofreading. ) But anyway, it's OVER, and that's all that really matters.
  
• I got myself a ticket to see a famous musical group in Japan put on their production of "Jesus Christ Superstar". For no particular reason, my dad ADORES "Jesus Christ Superstar". He likes it to the point where he'll actually go to the theater by himself to see it. Therefore, all of us daughters know the musical well, too. Anyway, it would be fun enough to see JCS in Japanese, but even better? They're doing two different productions: the "Jerusalem" version (the original version, from what I can tell), and the "Japonesque" version. I have no idea what that means, but the promotional pictures show a guy in Kabuki makeup, so I'm extremely excited to see the "Japonesque" version.
  
• I just discovered something horrible about Harry Potter: In Japan, the movie comes out on the same day as the book. WHAT DO I DO!? I will, obviously, want to read the book on the very first day, and will likely be done by mid-afternoon, but I also want to watch the movie on the first day, too. I could technically watch it that night, but will it be too much? Or will I just end up on a six hour crying jag? (Note: This is somewhat rhetorical, since everyone knows that I can and will watch Harry Potter the night after reading the final book. I merely wonder if this is the best choice for my mental health. ^_^)
  
• For those who follow the manga, I just picked up the latest volume of "Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle". WTF is going on? Seriously! WTF!?!? Tsubasa's like an abusive boyfriend. It keeps smacking me this way and that and throwing things at me until I'm near tears, but right when I reach the point where I'm going to scream or rip something to shreds, it gives me a drop of sugar and I know that I'll never bring myself to leave. If only I were stronger, I could get into a healthy relationship with a nice, soothing Hana to Yume, but NO... (But seriously, does anyone understand the story and/or see any logical thread of plot and/or think that this stupid series will possibly end before, say, volume 100? The incomprehensible twists in Tsubasa make X look like an open freeway through the desert.)
